Associate Consultant– Research

    Naomi Emmanuel is a research assistant at Kilimanjaro Clinical   Research Institute (KCRI). She has a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from Methodist University, Nairobi Kenya and a Master’s degree in public health from Tumaini Makumira University – Kilimanjaro Christian Medical college Tanzania.  She has experience in community environments research having worked for Kilimanjaro Christian Medical college as a researcher. Naomi has very strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in conducting research studies on different aspects of nutrition, health and community development in general. Naomi possesses knowledge in research design using qualitative and quantitative methods including data analysis using Nvivo software, organizing field activities, report writing and presentation of findings. Naomi has also been engaged in community sensitization and capacity building trainings for health service providers where she conducted community focal group discussions and in- depth interviews. She is also conversant with undertaking transcriptions, translation and analysing qualitative field interviews, as well as management of database using Red Cap, ODK, SPSS, and Nvivo.
